Russia may or may not deliver S-300 anti-aircraft missiles to Iran, but just raising the issue has
revealed how serious the Iran situation is. In 2007, Russia signed a contract to deliver five batteries of the advanced anti-aircraft missiles to Iran, for delivery in 2010. Each battery can protect a civilian or military site. Russia cancelled the sale after a UN decision, and now it might be back on.
