This is one of the chief drawbacks of the Internet–fake news and photos. The BBC, not suspected of closet Zionism, determines that some of the pictures of Israeli attacks on Gaza are from as far back as 2009 or from Iraq and Syria. That’s the result of lack of a gatekeeper–in other words, professional journalists–in the new age of social media. Not that all journalists are unbiased–but most are better than this.
All we can do is check everything we read on the Internet before we believe it, or worse–before we pass it along.
