Egypt’s antiquities in danger, US cooperation needed

It’s part of the lawlessness that has swept Egypt since Hosni Mubarak was overthrown in 2011. Many Egyptians are hoping that their incoming president, military strongman Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, can restore order. This crisis could be a test on several levels. Not only is better (or any) police work needed; but also, cooperation at the other end of the market, where the stolen artifacts are sold–mostly in the US.
