Libya’s new civil war

Here’s an article by my friend Nancy Youssef, relocated from Cairo to Washington but still expertly following events in Libya. The overthrow of dictator Moammar Gadhafi has failed to improve the situation in Libya–in some ways, it is worse. It is much more violent, fragmented and deadly. Weapons that flooded the country are now appearing around the region in an illicit and dangerous arms trading industry. Nancy writes here about a general who is leading a new fight against autonomous militias, including the one that killed US Ambassador Chris Stevens.
